My name is James, and I am the craftsperson behind Stolen Sign Company.

I created Stolen Sign Co. to meet a specific need. For many years, I worked at a bike shop where a wall of donated trail signs sat behind the front desk. Customers frequently asked, "Can I buy one of those signs?" or "Are those for sale?" For a long time, our answer was always no.
 

One day a thought occurred to me: what if they could buy them? I  worked for the United States Forest Service for nearly a decade and had replaced hundreds of stolen signs; I knew that people loved to have popular trail signs. Being the handy person I am, I set out to recreate some of Sedona's favorite trail signs. That is where Stolen Sign Co. came from. They only look stolen!
